This old greystone
Two squirrels used to live in the rundown 3-flat next door. They made a home for themselves in the abandoned third floor. They also believed that every potted green plant on my back porch was their yearly crop. Builders have now begun remodeling the 100-year-old greystone, and the squirrels have moved out. Surprisingly I miss the rascals, even though they have caused yearly fits where I have bound outdoors waving my hands like a madwoman to get them out of my tomatoes.
